I took a total of two pictures while in Tunica, and both were with my camera phone. The first was a rather remarkable board. The second was a rather remarkable sight.
I was not involved in this hand, but I did declare, "Dem Quads Beeches."
This is the last thing I saw before leaving the casino. It's Devilfish Ulliot standing on a bar with the lead singer of a bad cover band rocking out to Guns N' Roses "Knockin' On Heaven's Door." It was surreal.
I take it you didn't read my Aruba coverage over at the UB blog. I saw Devilfish sing "Knockin' On Heavens Door"...twice! I also saw him do a rendition of "Sultans of Swing" I liked even more.
And, yes, "surreal" is a good word for it.
Posted by: Mean Gene at February 2, 2007 12:06 AMMy favorite version of GnR's classic tune is performed by Bob Dylan.
Dylan also covers Hendrix's (or is it Dave Matthews'?) "All Along the Watchtower" quite well.
