I probably don't say this enough.
But, thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to make your blogs what they are. Thank you for taking the time to write real stories. Thank you for offering good theory posts. Thank you for making en effort over the years to claim a real space in this ethereal world. Thank you for giving more than you get back. Thank you for taking an individual pursuit and forming a community out of a bunch of people who might not otherwise know each other.
In short, thank you for knowing what makes a good, and dare I say real blog.
I can't say whether I'll make it for the WBPT gathering in December, but if I do, I hope to thank you in person. You all may be a bunch of cantankerous misfits, but you are my kind of people and you deserve more recognition than you get.
That's all for now.
Well it is about time you said that. I've been waiting uncomfortably here with you - avoiding eye contact, making small talk about the weather and the local sports, picking an invisible or perhaps even non-existant piece of lint off my shirt. This is a big step for you Otis, hopefully the first of many.

And just in case - yes I am kidding. The high level prose you put out is inspiration for us all, Otis. So a big thank-you right back!
Posted by: biggestron at October 8, 2007 7:30 AMI find it humourous to say the least that I find this posted today, on our Thanksgiving day up here to the north.
I posted awhile back trying to get some form of this message out there too. I've linked it to the homepage below.
On the serious side ;
Your writing is always something of fun, thought provoking, or trueness of the "world" surrounding the bloggers in our community. I feel very fortunate to have found the G-Vegas crew in this invisible environment, and I truly look forward to a face-to-face meeting in the future.
But on the lighter side;
From many readings over the years, perhaps it is we out here that should be thanking you! We only read about it once in awhile, but you, you actually have to put up with the BadBlood's, G-Rob's and Pauly's of the world. That has to account for something, doesn't it! ;o)
With many thanks for the effort you put in Otis,
Bam-Bam

And for G-Rob -
13) I am truly lucky to be alive. I have a "zipper" from crotch to sternum from a pretty bad wreck. Thanks to a great doctor,(or three) I only have 987 to go.
Posted by: Bam-Bam at October 8, 2007 8:03 AMYou can thank me by taking up the six seat at the Pai Gow tables in December while I smoke bad cigars and remind me to place a wager on the bonus circle because no one likes being called a pussy for not betting the bonus.
Or push my wheelchair on my birthday :)
Posted by: Drizztdj at October 8, 2007 8:34 AMWhere is this blogger meeting in December?
Posted by: Johnny Hughes at October 9, 2007 7:59 AMI was driving to work the other day when I rear-ended a car that had stopped in front of me.
I got out surveying the damage, and so did the other guy.
When he stepped out of his car, he was a DWARF!
He walked to the back of his car, put his hands on his hips, and said
"I AM NOT HAPPY."
Then I said "Well, which one ARE you?"
That's how the fight started.
Posted by: Joe at October 10, 2007 12:18 PMi just want to thank YOU.
otis > all

Posted by: iggy at October 11, 2007 6:52 PMOkay, it might be a stupid question, but I can't find any info on it... what's the WBPT?
Also... thank you for running a great blog. Hope you like mine as much as I like yours. Cheers.
