A thank you to Amy Calistri & Tim Lavalli for taking the time to apparently figure out where all the extra chips in the WSOP came from. While we will never see definitive proof of the muck-up, Amy and Tim provide the best explanation yet, and it ain't pretty for Harrahs or Jeff Pollack.

Wowzah, that's a helluva job of research, math, and follow-up. Since this little "accounting" error may have only benefitted three or four players at the most (and since we know they cashed), it's doubtful that any of them will come forward. In fact, it's pretty likely that you'd be able to watch the tapes and find out who the beneficiaries were. Whoever has the biggest stack of 5K chips may have gotten the bump. Hell, they might have even gotten two or three...

After listening to interviews, why am I not surprised that he didn't come forward.
