Increasing the potency of Anti-Cancer drugs
Cancer is the very difficult disease to control. It happens when the body's own cells decided to go haywire and produce some of the complications that are not meant to be done. According to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, the researchers have shown that one protein namely Abcc 10 has been the major one in creating the resistance against the Anti-Cancer drugs which are being administered in the many cases of cancer.
There are many drugs which were tried for the controlling of the cancer, however, when it comes to the formation of the Anti-Cancer drugs, there are many natural products that are being used for the treatment. Some of these Anti-Cancer drugs are produced from the Pacific Yew tree and these are making some good improvements in the patients who are having these Anti-Cancer drugs as the treatment. The main mechanism of these drugs are reported to have arresting the cell division, hence, arresting the growth of the tumor cells.
Another research in the same research institute showed the "knocking out" the gene that encodes the production of Abcc 10 will not be harmful. This was tried on the mice subjects, and the results were amazing as the mouse was not abnormal, and was functioning in the normal ways. Hence, this made the good approach to the overall health as this protein is not important. Therefore, there are certain drugs which are still in the trial phase for treating the resistance to the Anti-Cancer drugs.
